Hungary awaits arrival of Gazprom CEO to sign gas contract Sep 27
NEW YORK, Sep 24 (PRIME) -- Hungary is waiting for arrival of Russian gas giant Gazprom’s CEO Alexei Miller on September 27 to sign a long-term gas supplies contract, the state’s Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in an interview with PRIME on the sidelines of the U.N. General Assembly, released on Friday.
“He will arrive next Monday (September 27) to strike a long-term gas contract,” he said.
The deal will envisage supplies of 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually in the next 15 years, Szijjarto also said.
“The 15-year agreement will be effective from October 1. (Gazprom) will supply 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas annually via two routes – through the territory of Austria and Serbia. We are very happy with our cooperation with Russia in the gas sphere,” he said.
